How did you learn about UXSG?
I was finding out more about behavioural sciences and design thinking in Singapore out of personal interest and stumbled upon presentations from the UXSG 2014 conference. It’s nice that there’s a ground-up community in Singapore that brings together like-minded individuals, whether they’re experienced practitioners or beginners, to learn from each other.
What made you volunteer for the UXSG Conference this year?
I thought it would be a great learning opportunity and I definitely hope to contribute as much as I can.
How has the journey been?
The learning curve has been steep thus far. There’s so much thought, meaning, and dedication that goes behind every step of the conference planning process.
What are your personal quirks?
I have a habit of collecting random knick-knacks from the countries I visit.
Is there any words of advice or quotes you live by?
“Seek first to understand, then to be understood.” Trying to practice empathic listening in everyday conversations.
